I really like the look and feel of this app. The fasting is informative and I like how the notifications show up letting me know where I’m at in the fasting cycle. I wish I could see it as little flames on a circle so I can make a decision on whether or not to break a fast now or in an hour. The body measurement is a really nice feature too! I would easily go from the free version to the paid version if the logging of food was simpler. I would like to add food foods.. I searched for a lot of foods and they never came up. I think this is where it has gotten clunky and not well thought out. It would be a really incredible app if they worked on this section. This is my only disappointment. I was hoping it would be an all in one app for me.
This app is really great if you want to track your meals with using just a photo snap, or track your fasting in a way that really matters. It's not just another carnivore app that putt all the features in one screen. But each section feels like a standalone app. However, there is not Apple Watch sync. Hope they can add it in the future.
I’m new to carnivore (week 2 here) and have been looking for an all in one app to log food, log fasts, track macros.. the whole deal. There is no tutorial here. You have to just figure out how to use the app. It took me ages just to figure out how to delete a measurement. Tracking food is a total pain. The only option is to keep hitting the little refresh until you find something you ate, but if what you ate isn’t listed, then you still to track it on an outside app. It’s frustrating that you can’t just add your own food. And in regards to food, it’s also frustrating that you can’t remove meals. I am focused on OMAD and 2MAD. I think the only way to ensure I’m only logging one or two meals is to just not check off the third one. But it would be ideal to be able to just remove it altogether. I purchased this today, tried it out all day, and am preparing to just cancel and uninstall, and request my $30+ back from Apple support. I wish it would have been possible to do a trial first to see if it would even suit my needs. Love the concept, but as a beginner… this is just not user/beginner friendly. And beginners really need to be able to set themselves up for success. If tracking becomes frustrating and overwhelming, it’s all that much easier to give up.
