I grew up reading the Post and Courier and I’ve always loved it. I still occasionally quote Lord Ashley Cooper (Frank Galbraith). I remember him writing that we usually had a “cool” week in August. More often than not, we do.
Also, he wrote that the spring gnats usually disappeared when the oleanders on Lockwood Boulevard began to bloom.
I’m appalled when I read a sentence that begins, “Her and ‘so and so’ went…,” or when misspelled words appear throughout an article.

This latest version will not automatically update the issue and I must delete the app, reinstall and sign in before being able to read that day’s newspaper. Navigation is still unnecessarily complex compared to the original version that I used for years with no complaints. If you touch the screen any way the app doesn’t like, the screen locks on maximum size and the user must go to the next page, go back to the previous page and touch it to read at normal size.
My current iPads work seamlessly with all other apps. The only solution I see is to ditch this update and go back to an earlier version that actually works.

This app is hard to us. The website is much better for ease in reading the paper. We have the digital subscription so we can read on a variety of devices. The updated app will not permit us to finish logging in when using our IPad or tablet. Logging in is ‘iffy’ on our phones, but, usually works. I suggest using the website and skipping the app.
