I love, love, love the student room, it’s such a lovely community and I recommend it to every person I come across. The concept and the website and all that I would give 5/5* without a doubt however, the app is buggy. It’s not particularly well set out, it’s laggy and randomly quits out. I still gave it 4 stars because I would never want to put anyone off getting the app/using the website because it’s so brilliant!
when you click on a forum or discussion, there is no ‘back’ button or any button to return to the home page or something, so every time im done with reading a forum or discussion, i have to manually close the app, then re-open it and repeat this every time I finish reading this started to get extremely annoying so for now i am using the browser version instead until this issue is fixed.
It’s a great app, but needs a great deal of bug squashing and some way of saving text. I have found that trying to submit posts or finish editing posts the button becomes stuck and you have to switch apps to perform another action. The app has crashed quite a few times too which is quite annoying. I think if the app was more fluid and certainly more stable then I would definitely give it 5*s, but the website is much more functional.
