ESL Mobile Banking

The App is great except when it time out in the middle of me transferring money from one account to another. It should be able to pick up that I am still working in the app but it doesn’t. I understand where there is no activity for a period of time and it timed out but not when I am still conducting transfer. I have at least 10 accounts that I am on so sometimes it takes a while to review activities and get transfer done. Also recently the app was updated if I am typing a comment and realized I made an error I use to be able to select right where I made the error and made the change but now it will not let me, I have to delete everything I wrote back to where I made the error to make the change then rewrite it which is very frustrating because it takes more time and I have to try to remember how I wrote comments prior to make it fit since I am allowed limited character for the memo.

Never had issues with them in the past, and been with them my entire life just about. Experience in bank is friendly, but I have to ask: who is designing these apps?? I used to cash checks in the app for school a few times a week before covid hit, even cashed some during covid, had issues saying “the size is different, the edges can’t be seen (even though they’re clearly visible)”, but in the past I’d eventually get it. This latest update, same issues but worse. Took at least 40-50 tries to get it to cash in app, only to hit submit and get an error message with no explanation of why there was an error. Had to drive to my local ESL ATM just to cash it. You hire fantastic people for face-to-face banking, I’ll give you props for that. But whoever you hired for your apps, that entire staff should be replaced with people who can actually build a user friendly app. Harsh I know, but man this app gets worse with every update! Again, your people in bank get 5 stars, phenomenal staff, but your app is just the absolute worst!

ESL is the best. When visiting any of there many conveniently located branches in towns and suburbs all over Rochester and Monroe County, I am always treated respectfully and taken care of. The website and mobile app for both iPhone and iPad are top notch. Very nicely designed and straightforward to use. Depositing checks is a breeze and checking balances couldn’t be easier. Also love that they offer live chat banking right inside the app. As far as any comments go, I would love to one day see digital ATM receipts somewhere in the app. That would be amazing! Keep it up ESL!
