We absolutely love this bank, they treat you like you are part of their family. When you walk out n they call you by your name, it just feels like they really care about you and your money. I have a elderly mother who has a account and sometimes doesn’t pay close attention to her account and her checks come in two different accounts but her bills are all paid out of one. So every month we transfer money it is no problem but sometimes it does slip your mind they help me set it up so it transfers automatically so she doesn’t get insufficient funds. This bank and the individuals that work in the Goose Creek branch is top notch. Thank y’all for all you do for me and my family.
I opened an account with Avenue Bank back after my family bank sold years ago, because I was looking for a personal experience; I didn’t want to be just a number. Ron Samuels recognized the value of customer service, and he and his team completely rethought banking from the ground up with Avenue. Color me muy impressed. However, when Pinnacle Financial Partners (“PNFP”) bought Avenue Bank, that mountain of gold that Ron built turned to a hill of dung amongst the mountains of pure horse $h|+. They stripped Avenue of everything good that built it, and eventually stripped its customers of the “courtesies” that were part of the accounts we originally opened at Avenue, which were grandfathered into our new PNFP accounts, turning us into just another number. Then came the app refresh, and all the things I could once do (which happen to be the only reasons for staying with Pinnacle and not jumping ship after the Avenue buy) were tossed out like a bad habit, leaving us with this trash, there was nothing left for me but my bitchy “personal” banker, who had the email habits of a cold and miserable neuro-surgeon, the same one who I imagine looked like a doe caught in the headlights each time we talked, as she never seemed to remember me, and now I’m wondering exactly why I stuck around? I’m over this. Rob McCabe and Terry Turner: I hope for your sake everyone is wrong and that you can take money with you, otherwise, you have, to quote Steel Magnolias, “an ounce of pretension” ehem, I mean, “a pound of manure.” You’ve just gotten this oh so wrong, and I’ll bet you begin to feel this pretty soon. Here’s to hoping that Truist or someone more focused on sustainability and technology has gotten it right. Hopefully they’ll succeed where you clearly dropped the ball (and the customers).
Revising this rating even further down. We no longer get to see a confirmation of a transfer other than a generic “your transfer was scheduled. No information about the transfer at all. So for years I’ve taken a screen shot to have a record. Now there is none. I liked the old app interface. It was clean and useful. This one is clunky and very un-useful. 1. New app doesn’t show all my accounts in one page anymore. That’s why I have a big phone. 2. Logs me out after about 15 seconds of “inactivity”. 3. Logs me out while I’m filling out information in bill pay section. While actively entering information. 4. Deleted all entered info in main bill pay tab when I viewed the amount previously paid by looking in history tab. Why doesn’t it populate from history? I pay the same amount every month for some things.
