As posted previously there are still issues posting to Threads and Bluesky. It seems to almost always get a post through to Mastodon however. But the problem is occasionally it throws up an error message that it couldn’t post to Threads and Bluesky so I attempt it again and then realize it actually made the original post go through to those platforms, so I have to go to them to delete the duplicate post. This is very inconsistent. When the app works it’s a great time saver, but when it doesn’t it adds a lot of additional work to go through.
I was enthusiastic about Openvibe when I started using it, but there are a few major usability bugs that keep biting me. First, if you're behind in your feeds by several days, the app will regularly lose your place and scroll to the top when reloading. There's no way to quickly page back to where you were, so you have to scroll for a while to find your spot. (I suspect this has something to do with the app cache getting cleared, but your spot in the feed should not be tied to the cache in the first place.) Second, my Bluesky account sometimes gets broken without warning and I have to remove and re-add it. There are no errors when this happens: your posts just mysteriously stop loading. Third, when you tap into a post or link and then navigate back to the timeline, you sometimes get scrolled to the top and lose your spot. Please fix these issues! They are damaging an otherwise excellent app.
Really great work so far so kudos to the devs!! But would love it even more if these features were implemented: (1) A way to view trending topics like in the Bluesky app (2) Able to add additional login accounts (only lets you add one per) (3) ability to see the detailed bio when you view the following list for others. In the bluesky app, you can click on the someone’s following list and the list will show the users name, handle and their bio. Makes it easier to find new profiles based on your interests (4) Search is a little clunky and not as detailed as if you use the respective native apps, for instance, there’s no Top, Latest, Feeds like in Bluesky search. (5) Also is more of a nitpick but when you try to click on a profile from the search results list, you have to specifically click on their name in the row. Clicking on the leading edge on the profile picture doesn’t navigate you to their profile.
