The litter box itself is great. Easy to keep clean, easy to deep-clean, open-concept so each of my cats can fit and feel comfortable while using… The two main issues I have are the app and the weight tracking, both are top reasons I chose Neakasa. The app leaves a lot to be desired. I would love to be notified of when my cats are using the litter box in real time and know specifically who is using it. The weight tracking isn’t accurate and is often misreading not only their weight, but which cat is actually being weighed. Would be great if the scale was precise AND there was a camera to snap a quick shot of who is actually in the box. Perhaps with image recognition so that the app can accurately document who is who.

The Neabot app allowed you to name the rooms and showed the names of the rooms when you selected “Room Cleaning”. When you clicked on a room a check would appear after the name to let you know it was selected and the check disappeared if you clicked on it again. It also did the rooms in the order that it was selected so room cleaning was easy to start in a certain order. However, in Neakasa, naming the rooms it difficult at best and the names do NOT show up in when “Room Cleaning” is selected and NO check box appears when you click on a room so you have NO idea what rooms are selected. How can you “upgrade” an app and eliminate the necessary functions of the app? I would like to clarify a little about the new app. I like the way it is arranged and the new way that “Spot Clleaning” works but the new features should not remove the stuff that works so until you fix the above issue, I am going back to the old app because I use the “Room Clening” feature often.

For the price of this box, the app should actually work and provide accurate information. What it promised - info on usage and the cat itself - is the reason I chose this box over others. As others have said, my cat's weight varied greatly and switched back-and-forth from kilograms to pounds. Sometimes it recognized my (one) cat and sometimes it did not. Notice the past tense verbs - last month the usage/history information stopped recording. As if that's not bad enough, I have contacted Neakasa more than once and finally just received what is obviously a generic reply about how to reset the app. All of which I had already done and did not work. The good news is that the box works great – so far – and I hope that continues, after this honest review of the app… I can't imagine what will happen if the box stops working, since they can't even give me good Customer Service about the app!
