South Dakota Lottery

Anytime I want to scan a few losing tickets to the second chance drawings, I am forced to close the app and reopen for each ticket. It will say the ticket was successfully submitted but I can’t close the pop up message. Makes me wonder if the app is actually submitting them properly since I shouldn’t have to reopen it to submit a ticket every time.

I have been blindly using this app and now I wonder if I could have thrown out tickets that hadn’t for drawings that hadn’t happened yet. This morning (Oct 22) I was scanning tickets I bought for several different lotto games and they were all “Not a winner” according to this app so I pitched the tickets into my garbage. My spouse then said something about the draw dates and I pulled the tickets back out and found that the MegaMillions draw date is actually Oct 24…. It hasn’t happened yet!! I do not trust this app at all now!!

I’ve posted a review pertaining to the updated app along with the SD lottery in general BUT for some reason it’s not visible. This will be my third time posting a review. Maybe this time folks will actually get to read it!! To the point the app needs some improvements and I honestly believe since my last review a month ago they have made a few. Great job guys!! Everything and everyone can always make room for improvement (including myself) therefore I’m rather happy with the app itself as of now. The second chance drawings/prizes on the other hand are complete trash!!! Don’t believe me check out a few other states that also do Second Chance with scratch off tickets. I promise you will be so disappointed in our state of South Dakota. I know second chance is something that doesn’t have to be offered to ticket “losers”/customers BUT to see states such as Minnesota or Mississippi do second chance drawings for each and every kind of scratch off they sell (right after the scratch game ends) multiple times a month they are drawing triple times the winners SD does. The prizes for said drawings aren’t for $300 nor are they for $100 in scratch tickets…they actually give prizes to drawing winners that are pretty fricking awesome. Big cash prizes! Enough to take the day off work, fill your gas tank up and treat yourself to something nice!! Do better in this area SD Lottery please. Maybe this won’t be deleted or hidden rather!
