Faces of Health is an outstanding app for anyone managing chronic illnesses, anxiety, or daily stress. The app makes it easy to learn and practice a wide variety of science-backed mental health skills—from grounding, breathing, and somatic exercises to self-brainspotting, chair yoga, tapping (EFT/EMDR), CBT strategies, and even faith-based meditations. All of these skills are taught clearly in short, practical videos, and audio options are available for on-the-go practice, making the tools very accessible and easy to understand! What truly sets Faces of Health apart is the excellent visibility and leadership of Black women doctors and other women of color. Their expertise and representation create a unique, empowering environment, fostering genuine trust and cultural relevance throughout the app’s content. This is not just another mental health app—it’s a space led by professionals who “get it,” offering authentic support for the realities of living with ongoing health conditions, emotional distress, and stress. The app’s education isn’t just theoretical. Each tool is grounded in neuroscience and real-world experience, with simple explanations about how and why each method works. There is also a supportive community space, letting users connect and share encouragement on their journeys. Taken together, Faces of Health delivers practical results for relaxation and mental wellness—helping people like me to feel stronger, more resilient, and seen in every step of our health journey.
Dr. Blied has created a space for self-care, Self-treatment, Self-help, and so much more. The opportunity for education and community all lie behind the icons in this app! It is an answer to prayer for those who suffer from chronic pain (or anxiety, depression etc) and an inspiration for other mental health providers to invite others away from the noise of social media and make the most of technology to help us all recover, heal, grow and thrive! I highly recommend you join me in my use and prescribed use for others: FACES OF HELATH~DrV-Abernathy, CA Psychologist
The Faces of Health App by Dr. Monica Blied is a helpful app for providing resources that help a person deal with overall mental well being on a daily basis. The exercises and information available on this app will empower an individual to become less anxious or depressed so that one can live their best life amidst life challenges. I appreciate that she gives her focus though to the chronic Illness community and provides tools for people to rewire their minds.
