Ok so here it is. I have just received my first order using this app. I read other ppls reviews and saw them giving 1 or 2 stars because they’d have problems with it freezing up the top of the screen when trying to validate your purchase and also that some of the stores listed the app wouldn’t work with them.
So after reading them I can say that yes I experienced this a couple times also. That being said it wasn’t a problem for me because I went right to Walmart because honestly today you can order almost anything in the Walmart app. So I had zero issues with making my purchase it was very simple and fast. This was my last option because AARONS and RentAcenter stopped selling them. And I tried a couple other sites like flexshopper, abunda and LeaseVille. Couldn’t get thru with them so we actually bought one from a marine on FB marketplace for 80$ and got home and it was still under someone’s Apple ID so we could not access it and he wouldn’t respond back to us. So we paid 80$ for an apple paper weight.
Then I came across this app and tried it was approved for $1000 so I was then able to get the Apple Watch from Walmart thru the katapult app!
I feel like this is going to help come Christmas time. Thank you a ton katapult!!

So I’m going to start out by saying that it’s a great way to get the things you want. But only if you want to pay for items double the amount if you chose to do long term, I have used the app and had made one successful purchase within the 90 days to pay less then the full term amount. With that said I was not going to use the app again until it was absolutely necessary to do so because of how it works, so I did which was to make a purchase for gifts which then I had to return. it was a complete mistake on there part by refunding my money on a card that was on file, but not the cards I had used to make the payments. So I’m completely disappointed in that. I contacted customer support and wasn’t able to obviously do anything because the refund was already processed successfully.
I just want to let people know as a heads up if you do use the app, use with precaution. Also, app should be more flexible with the payment options (paying for something within 3 months) just so we don’t end up paying thousands of dollars extra)not everybody wants to do that (we on a budget) like me. I would like to get the monthly plan to pay overtime without all the extra cost to own it. just ain’t worth it to be honest.
I suggest if you really NEED an item then this app is great for that item you really need, but pay it off within in 90 days is the best bet.

So far loving this service! It’s extremely helpful for those who don’t have a very considerable income but still want to make sizable purchases. As with any leasing or credit, responsibility is key. The 90 day early buyout option lets you buy out your lease for hardly any additional fees or interest, making sure that’s paid off before the 90 days is key. Be mindful of your spending limits and make sure you can afford that option! Their autopay feature was easy to set up and gave me ease of mind knowing my purchase was being taken care of.
I had to reach out to customer support, but man they exceeded my expectations. Some of the best client care I’ve seen. If anyone from Katapult reading this has the authority, please give Chanel from customer support some props and a raise!
