API Elite

Whew, where to start? Coach Jackson, I’m sure it’s safe to say we thank God for making it clear what his plan and purpose for your life is supposed to be!! What’s been bulit is cultivated from determination, good intentions, support, and it shows! I started at API when I was at a low! Fresh from knee surgery and issues w/body image. Just to name a couple of goals being in a positive impactful environment was confidence, not realizing a lot was my mental, and physical health too!! This app is a nice reflection with all it has to offer as well!! The personalities of the trainers at API is UNMATCHED! I promise you!! Everyone has a high constant energy that isn’t overwhelming and they meet you where you’re at in your journey! API motivates me in ways I didn’t realize until I’m implementing the same. Example, I send the students a motivational message every week and I always start with “T.G.I.M” because that’s how we are greeted by our trainer each Monday!!! I’ve also caught myself saying to others and for me. “Try before you modify.” You have to love API and the heart they put into who they are and what they represent!When you’re honestly ready for a way forward, a positive impact, people that not judge you and help hold you accountable, an environment that’ll support you outside of the gym, that’ll help you not only physically, mentally, emotionally, come by! I’ve been attending API for about 18 months now, and the gym is like no other. I’m a former college athlete who doesn’t have too many fitness goals as I have remained in good shape post-grad. I’m usually self motivated to lift heavy and stay as close to my college-body-comp as possible. Yet, APIs trainers know me by name and always greet me at the door, giving me that extra boost if I am feeling particularly tired or sore from a previous days workout. API is a community where the trainers know when you can lift a few extra lbs, or if you are skipping on purpose. And they aren’t afraid to - without solicitation - give you some heavier weights or a 5:30am phone call if they know that you could be doing better. I feel known and seen at this gym, and am motivated by the community of people around me putting in that hard work as well. APIs newest app is a way to bring this amazing experience to everyone, no matter their location. The workouts are just as tough, and the ability to be coached remotely by some amazing trainers is an opportunity worth taking. I’m super excited to see API growing in news ways and hope the community only grows stronger as a result!

I trained with Jerrell first as an intern at his gym while at the same time training to go pro. He took an interest and helped me perfect my craft and made it his business to help fulfill a life long dream of mine to become a pro athlete. His recognition of my hard work and skill meant more to me than anyone because not only was he a pro athlete himself but he is also the embodiment of a top tier fitness coach. Never would I have reached the heights I did without him and other API training staff. It’s a real family there and it after all these years even with me not living there anymore I can come back in town and be accepted as if I never left. API for life!! A personal thank you to Jerrell, Joe, Egnew and the rest of the team for making my experience there an unforgettable one!
