We are teaching many many young adults to completely depend on area book planner during their missions only to make it unavailable to them afterwards. Why are we teaching lifelong skills such as weekly planning using technology that is made unavailable? We are making it especially difficult to perpetuate habits without the means of doing so. I have tried other scheduling apps but none of them come close by comparison. Although the church has implemented a lot of good tools to help missionaries adjust to normal life (such as “My Plan”) I have no doubt all of them would be trumped by developing a version of area book that is available for non-missionaries. Some missionaries return home only to struggle with a healthy balance of productivity in their lives. Every returned missionary I have spoken to has said they miss area book, some of which have been home for 4 years and only experienced the early versions of the app. Everyone would benefit from this app. Please, make an accessible version!
I cannot find anything that compares to this amazing planner. Please make a version that anyone can use and keep all the same features (especially the map), instead of having things like sacrament attendance it would be nice to have customizable options.
I loved this app as a missionary. I can only imagine it’s been improved since then. I couldn’t even find it up until today when I went through the church apps. I was disappointed to find out that it still doesn’t have a non missionary version. Please make a version of this for everyone to utilize.
