Patina Project

I loved this so much! I loved seeing everyone’s choice in boots, their action shots, the progress. I really valued being able to be creative. Using different textures and situations to highlight the space and my Nick’s. Thanks so much for this contest! See you next year! xo Em

Entering two pairs was a bit daunting.. but of the two pairs .. these Jim green Barefoot African Rangers have Broken in like Treasured Baseball glove or Leather jacket .., I initially treated them with just Sapphir waterproofing., and wore them daily with no insert .. these were my first barefoot style boots .. I found them to be as comfortable as a sneaker .. the eventually broke in and began to Patina , I did not go out of my way to Purposely bash or do any outrageous things to Patina them fast or damage .. to me that looks forced and unauthentic.. the last week of wear I conditioned them with Black Rock Leather N Rich .. the Crazy horse Leather darkened a bit but eventually dried to a unique and beautiful patina ., think brings out the texture and wear .. used but not Abused !!
