Great app - some serious flaws

I’ve been using the iLet for more than half a year and the pump is wonderful. I use the freestyle cgm as well. It’s a shame that I can no longer view my glucose as a widget or on my Apple Watch now that I use the iLet. There is no option for that. Also, the app disconnects all the time even if I leave the app to run in the background. My circle can never see my glucose unless I have the app open. Of course the iLet is life changing and it’s also pretty new so I won’t give it 3 stars, but life could be so much better with these things s fixed

Absolutely Life Changing!

I have had the I-Let Pump for about a month now and has been a night and day difference for my sugar! I’ve had Diabetes for about 9 years now (since i was 10) and I have been very bad with my sugar and taking injections. My A1C stayed above 10 ever since i can remember. Throwing up everyday, sleeping all day, couldn’t keep weight etc. Ever since I have gotten the pump my sugar hasn’t been above 250! I feel so much better, gaining weight again, and feeling like I live my life again without diabetes holding me back. The app works amazing with the Freestyle Libre 3 plus and with my iphone. I do wish i there was an option to silence one or the other alarms so they aren’t both going off from the pump device and my phone. Keep coming out with updates for the app and the pump please, this product has change my life for the better! God bless whoever is still reading this, and happy 4th!!

Weak app

The Home Screen provides no information about insulin on board (which would be helpful to prepare for potential hypos prior to exercising). This missing info is inconsistent with the app providing average insulin used for meals and basal on the Report screen. Not providing pump users with current insulin on board on the Home Screen makes the iLet difficult to use when exercising. The Report Screen frequently crashes: it displays the “spinning sun” entry screen but never advances from there. The only fix is to quit the app and try again. The “overview” graphs the Report screen don’t provide x-axis labels, so it’s virtually impossible to interpret the times associated with the glucose values provided. Scrolling through the daily graphs of glucose levels and making sense of the tiny bar charts that display meal boluses is difficult because a) the graphs don’t show what size of meal was chosen (usual, more than usual, less than usual) and b) the pump algorithm doesn’t give the user any control over managing the size of these boluses anyway. I guess you might get insight about how long prior to a meal to announce it? In summary, the lack of info in the app makes it difficult for people who want to adjust the timing of their meal announcements and for people to plan how to maintain glucose control while exercising. As currently designed the app is a missed opportunity to inform users who need more involvement with glucose control other than announcing carb intake.
