Does all I need it to

I must be missing a great deal because I don’t have the same issues at all. The thermostat is fine. I can program it and forget about it. I like the feature that progressively increase humidity in the winter to the point just before my windows begin to sweat and in the summer I can activate the feature to run the AC longer to reduce the temperature up to three degrees in order to lower the humidity. I will say I was annoyed at how long it used to take inputs from the app to change the actual HVAC behavior but that had been addressed many app updates ago. Well over a year, probably two and it’s been longer still since we’ve had problems with the wall unit dropping the WiFi. If I could change one thing now it would be to make the app interface and the wall thermostat interface more similar. I prefer the wall unit interface but I could get used to either but I prefer not to juggle both which offers different routes to change some of the same functions.

Works great with 2 minor flaws

We love our Bryant system. So much quieter than any other heat pump units out there. We have a variable stage unit and we have seen a drop in our electricity bill. The Evolution is solid. Does everything for me. I set it and leave it alone. I never have to switch it to emergency heat and then forget to switch off it in the morning. It’s smart enough to know when to turn on the emergency heat by itself. Here are two flaws I wish they would update: 1) we had a nest thermostat with our previous unit and there was the home away assist that when you left your house, the thermostat would automatically switch to preset away setting. Then when you returned it would go to the preprogrammed setting. 2) The evolution has Comfort Profiles. They are nice and easy to use but they only give you 4 profiles. I wish they gave more profiles so you could have different heat/cool settings for different reasons. Overall, I like our entire unit. So glad we upgraded.

Stunningly poor execution!

This entire interface has been a stunning disappointment. How a company the size of Bryant / Carrier could have an app this bad is just inexplicable! You can only see 2 days of your daily energy consumption, the only other option is the monthly use, seriously! IT’s too hard to let me look at my daily use at any time I want??? I should be able to browse the entire history since my unit went in service! It’s just too easy, instead I have NO useful data if I don’t record it every other day in a spreadsheet. Next, the entire app is created for the purpose of driving me toward my local dealer for inflated and unneeded “service” It’s practically impossible to reset the air filter reminder AND the reminder is driven only my the calendar date rather then by air filter flow resistance. STUPID and EXPENSIVE for NO BENEFIT! Last, the thermostat programming is shameful! You have only 4 modes that you can set up! Seriously in 2023! Let me at least have a weekly schedule that I can program in 30 minute (max) intervals and just choose a temp! Bryant has somehow managed to make it both unconfigurable and clunky. Such a waste! I would advise you choose another company for your HVAC needs. The equipment must be serviced through the various apps, The apps don’t work very well, the owners app is purely written to force you to call your dealer. Very disappointing!
