I recently downloaded Schmooze to challenge myself in finding new friends in the area. Personally, I think the app is good. The concept of matching someone with humor (instead of appearance) added a nice new change of pace when looking for friends or something more. The design of the app is welcoming, and it’s pretty easy to use.
My only problem is the inclusivity that the app lack at times. It doesn’t allow you to show your sexual orientation. This caused me to get more guys than girls majority of the time. Another is also the app kicking me out. I’m unsure why this happened countless of times, but it started to become annoying. Overall, it’s a good app. I would totally recommend this to people!

I think this app is really great! It’s definitely not something I see in a lot of these dating apps. It’s unique in its own way and it’s awesome. I will say I don’t like how long you have to wait to “add” people. You get only a few adds and then after that you have to wait the entirety of 24 hours. I also don’t like how I don’t know how many adds I have left before I have to wait for that set amount of time. The great part is that it’s completely free and there’s no pay wall! Though I’d just really like to have the ability to use the app more. Other than that, I really enjoy it and recommend it 100%.

I also found out about this app through tiktok when I was burnt out from other apps. This is a great break from the typical swiping on profiles and dead end convos. I’m glad I chose to try it, the connections are much more meaningful and organic because you’re starting with a baseline of humor and compatibility instead of a superficial connection. I love the concept of the app and can’t wait to see where it goes. The developers have done a great job of updating it quickly and making helpful interface changes…I’m very impressed!
