I really like the core design and art style of this game. It’s fun and can get really competitive at times. However, it falls very short in terms of how they have decided to monetize the game. You can unlock new ‘cars’ and boosts through what are essentially loot crates; I’m okay with this because while it can get P2W, I’ve yet to be utterly outmatched by someone simply because they had better stuff. The part I have a problem with is that powerups are P2W. Powerups are consumables instead of simply being unlockable. That means once you’ve consumed them all, you have to pay for more or sit through several minutes of ads just to get a couple more. I can play around someone having a better car, but playing against someone that has a full stack of completely debilitating powerups is gamebreaking, especially on maps that have short time limits or low goal thresholds.

Fav game I’m playing right now besides PubG. I just had to start a new account which makes me sad. I had some unrelated security issues with my Gmails/iPhone/MacBook being compromised. I usually would be distraught and not start a game I lost all my hard work on for a while. I had coins, leveled up pretty high, had the most awesome upgraded skins and exhausts too.. but it’s ok. I love this game and PubG. PubG is a commitment of up to an hour for each game played. I play This NEO game when I don’t have as much time but need to pass the time.. like waiting in line somewhere at Safeway (i.e. Present Situation) or just at home bored. This game is addicting and it takes some getting use to but it’s fun because you can see yourself improve and gain skill. Similar to an air hockey game but more fun! Thanks developers for making my COVID/Quarantine much better by having a fast paced fun game.

It kind of reminds me of the air hockey game for the original Nintendo (although in that game you can only stay on half of the table and it’s hard to control unlike this game). One small detail that I like is that you can kind of “teleport” through the goals. The skins are fun to collect and I like all the the power ups (they call them perks). I also like how you can share your highlights for each game but sometimes I feel like my other shots from the game are better then the highlights (if that makes sense) so it would be cool if you could choose your highlights.
