My family and I went to Waffle House #2232 for lunch. From the time we entered the establishment, everyone greeted us and wished me a happy Mother’s Day. The staff were friendly and customer service was top notch! You can tell that they value and appreciate their customers by the conversations between staff and patrons. Our waiter, Will, took our order and constantly checked on us as we enjoyed our meal. The cooks, Ben and Chad, were on point. Everything was cooked and seasoned extremely well. I will definitely be back to this Waffle House when visiting family in Warner Robins! Shoutout to the Manager in Training, Makala! You can tell that you care about your staff and they care about you! Keep up the good work WH #2232!
Waffle House no longer will accept call in orders. So I used the app to place my order. When I go to pick up my order, there’s two big bags full of food. She smiles real big and tells me she put extra syrup and ketchup in your bag for me. Problem was they forgot to give me my bacon with my breakfast meal and I ordered an extra side of bacon for my son, that wasn’t in my order either. So obviously when I get home, I don’t have the breakfast that I ordered or requested. Ironically, I ordered on the app and the app doesn’t give you an option to rate the store or comment to the store about your order. What I’m taking from this is that Waffle House doesn’t want you to do pick up orders. So call your pick up orders to Bob Evans or somebody else that wants to take care of you.
So I was excited to see that Waffle House finally caught up to the rest of the world and added online ordering, especially considering that the Waffle Houses around me don’t even answer the phone anymore. In fact, the phone doesn’t even ring in the restaurant the workers told me. Anyway, as you go into the app it seems to be organized well, making it easy to place an order. I add the all-star breakfast for myself, order a waffle for my wife, and go to add three kids meals…..well, there are no kids meals. Really? Am I missing it somewhere? It seems like this would be something that would definitely be in the menu, considering that families go to Waffle House and it’s a MAIN menu item. How is it possible that the creators of this app didn’t simply grab a restaurant menu and add everything from the menu into the app? It seems like a massive oversight. It was a great plan, but very poor execution. Their last app update was to change the app icon. Really? How about you fix the lacking menu items, or at the very least, do as others recommended and add the ability to type in customizations to the order like “crispy hash browns”. I’m sure that’s a risk adding the ability to type anything you want, but there needs to be a way to customize even if Waffle House chooses the options. Hopefully, Waffle House keeps updating the app since they are new into this area and this is their first go at it. I’m just surprised how long it took to get here, and this is what is given. Come on Waffle House, do better.
