BrilliantPad SMART

At first I had trouble connecting to the app, it always said it couldn’t find device and timed out. I first downloaded the latest update on both my iPhone and the app, then I moved my Wi-Fi extender closer BrilliantPad and it connected the first try and I’ve had no issues since. I pay a lot for top of the line high-speed internet and always have a high number of devices using it. In spite of my high monthly bill I still had dead and glitchy zones and where I placed the BrilliantPad machine was in one. Simply moving my Wi-Fi extender easily solved my connection issues.BrilliantPad is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! My two small 5lbs and 9lbs dogs would always soak through even the largest pee pads and poo so much I could never keep up with it. During the hours I would work they would soak through to the floor the multiple pads I would lay out then go to the bathroom around the pads as well. I had to clean a nasty mess and completely mop my floors a minimum two (usually more) times a day every day and my house would smell horrible. My dogs both immediately transitioned to using this with no problems at all. No mess, no smells. As much as I have loved my first device, the new smart model is so much better and worth every penny of the price. I love how I can set it to automatically roll out a clean pad after 1, 2, or 3 uses. It does an excellent job of detecting my individual dogs and the pictures it takes and the way it detects the type and consistency of their business is both very useful and pretty funny as well.

The idea is brilliant and a great solution for many of us with small, “apartment” dogs, but this company did not have the technology piece ready!!! It’s been days and I still don’t have the ability to use this properly even after doing what they have asked!!! There are no easy directions for people who are not technology majors and even with the help of someone who is…still no luck!!! And even for people who are able to get it working, they complain on line that they can’t keep it online!!! Such a huge disappointment!!!

I had high hopes for this upgraded BP and it worked great when I first got it a couple of weeks ago. We have two fur babies both under 10 lbs but it amazes me how much liquid these two can hold so I really love that the pad can be changed remotely and there is a log of events. However, since then, it has lost connectivity numerous times requiring a reset by first having to “forget this device” then starting the pairing process all over again. All of our other devices work fine in the same area so I know it’s not a network issue. Also, the images come out completely black if the room isn’t brightly lit. Perhaps I received a defective unit? Will be contacting BP soon. The idea behind this product is, well, brilliant. Just wish it were more reliable. Still have high hopes for a better version.
