I have been trying to log in for over six hours just to complete identity verification, but the app keeps failing due to an unstable network error. This app is mandatory for ID verification, yet it is completely unusable. I went to multiple locations in Hong Kong and tried different networks, but none worked. My internet connection is clearly not the issue, as I can log in to all other apps and games without any problem. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable for a government-related application that people are required to use.

This app was a nightmare at its earlier versions when it simply cannot capture HKIDs properly with the damned flash light, well it seems the ITs fixed that. Now, this app simply cannot read my HKID with the NFC function, it doesn’t work as promised. Very difficult to get a reading to 100%. It will lock you out for 360 second after three failed tries. What is wrong with you people? I wasn’t imputing a wrong password, who gave you the right to lock me out? My iPhone works perfectly fine with octopus and applepay, so I have no idea what went wrong. Please HK government, if you are going to let 7mil people put some faith in your judgement and management, at least invest on an app to make it work. For gods sake.

Nothing to explain how to convert from iAM Smart to iAMSmart + if you have already downloaded the app a while ago. The instructions are very clunky and are only for those who have never downloaded the app. On the app though, everything is streamlined as far as everyday usage is concerned.
