SpeakEasy: Home Speech Therapy

I am so impressed with this speech app! You can track your child’s words, phrases, and the app even helps to track the level and skills that your child is working on! After figuring out your child’s needs based on parent analysis, there are daily tasks you can do with your kids and the app also links to your Google calendar for a reminder! Resources are given to educate the parent, along with suggested activities for play. Seasonal activities are also offered! There is a chat available within the app that directs you to an SLP. I highly recommend giving it a try!

What I like most about this app are the simple activity suggestions. They provide easy to follow instructions with each activity and help you track your child’s progress with journal notes and milestone trackers. My boys enjoy playing the games and I have fun playing with them. The chat feature allows you to speak with people who are knowledgeable about the common speech issues kids experience. It’s the next best feature in the app. I highly recommend Speakeasy to parents and caregivers who are looking to improve their child’s speech from the comfort of home or traveling on the go.

I love this app for my two children. The activities are super easy to apply to our everyday routines, and simple enough for me to remember and use again and again. I can easily toggle between my 4 year old and 1.5 year old’s language journeys. One of my favorite features are the Learning Labs where you can get the latest evidence based research and recommendations on various speech, language, and parenting issues. You can even message and chat with an SLP through the app! I always appreciate hearing and learning directly from experts. Such a great and fun tool!
