Just what everyone everywhere needs all the time, actually. A perfect way to swap out ingredients for what you have on hand or what available at the market. No searching the internet with varying answers popping up, no guesswork, just simple and calculated perfection. Would recommend highly.

It’s pretty good as is, but just needs a little more flexibility. This app is going to help me keep track of baking experiments, and I’m very excited about that. I did immediately meet what seems like a big shortcoming. When using the yield tool, what I’m most likely doing is trying to re-portion the recipe to just make 2 cupcakes or whatever. The results in this case are useless, offering things in 1/12 of a cup, or 1/16 tsp. It will always return the new measurement in the same scale as the original measurement, which is unusable without one by one converting them to weight measurements, which is tedious when looking to permutate a recipe 12 different ways. There are some other minor gripes, but that’s the main one. It’s really a remarkably nice app considering it’s free. It’s just a shame that you’ll need to invest time into it to get your recipes in the system, but then the system is limited in some really frustrating ways. I’d gladly pay $5-$10 for a more robust version of this exact app, especially if it were partially geared toward tracking baking experiments.

I downloaded this for the recipe calorie calculator. Most of the ingredients for my first recipe were not in the app (peanut butter, rolled oats, cocoa nibs, flax seed meal, coconut) so I entered them all manually including the calories/100g, which I had to calculate manually. I input the recipe - it does have a very convenient feature for entering quantities - and when I pressed calculate, it had no calories for all of the ingredients I had so painstakingly calculated and entered. Total waste of time. In all fairness, if you are only using the ingredients included in the app, it seems to work well.
About Bake-u-lator
Bake-u-lator is your personal baking calculator, recipe adjuster, and toolkit!

Use the Bake-u-lator to adjust recipes based on ingredients or desired yield.

Don’t have enough flour? Or eggs? Limiting Calculator will adjust the recipe so that you use the proportional amount of each ingredient based on the limiting ingredient.

What if the recipe yields 10 cupcakes but you are having 14 guests? Yield Calculator will adjust the recipe so that you can make enough for everyone. Alternatively, if you need to downsize a recipe, Yield Calculator can do that too!

Bake-u-lator is also equipped with a calorie calculator, unit converters, and timers. You can use Bake-u-lator to estimate the calories in your creations, convert between different units of measurement for volume, mass, and temperature when baking, and set and run custom timers.

Happy baking!
