After having installed this lock and having used it for more than five months, I am very pleased with its performance and its functionality, especially since it integrates and works well with the Apple Home kit. In comparison to others who have tried different brands and expressed their frustration to me about their not so smart locks, I must say that I have not experienced their level of frustration with this product. I highly recommend this product for anybody that looks for a discreet yet very functional deadbolt. The ease of installation was great. I did have to perform some modification to the door jamb because the installers of the original lock it replaced did not do their job very well, but that is no reflection on the Level product. No regrets at all with this product.

I was one of the earliest adopters because I wanted a discreet electronic lock and Level Bolt was (and still is) the only lock that allows me to keep the minimalistic design and enjoy the convenience of never carrying keys. At first the lock was slow and a bit buggy (though still a good value). But the recent Matter update it’s truly a game changer. The lock opens in _seconds_ from my phone - zero lag. The auto lock and unlock work great too. I am very happy with the lock now and if you use matter, I highly recommend it. Side note: customer service is top notch and worked with me over the years several times to troubleshoot and address problems.

Level Lock+ is a seriously high-quality smart lock—the hardware is solid and the features are impressive. Once you get it working, the convenience of unlocking with my phone or watch (and sharing access with family) is great. However, the setup process with the app can be confusing, especially if you need to reset the lock or add it back to HomeKit. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting pairing issues, and it took using a different Apple device (my iPad) to finally get everything reconnected. The app could do a better job guiding users through advanced troubleshooting and clearly explaining what to do when things get stuck. Big shoutout to Lisa from Level support for actually following up, checking on my case, and helping me through the setup headaches. The customer service is fantastic—if you run into trouble, don’t hesitate to reach out to them. Overall: If you’re patient and don’t mind some trial and error, Level Lock+ is worth it. The hardware and features are excellent, and the app does the basics well—but just be prepared for a learning curve if you have to reset or re-pair the lock.
