I’ve been banking with Busey for 5 years now but am currently in the process of switching away. I’ve had near-constant issues with their tech and it’s just becoming too much to deal with. Issues include: - The website and mobile app keep blocking me from performing actions like making transfers, saying I need to call into their support and verify my device. It seems to do this every time the browser cookies are cleared which is ridiculous, and I recently got a new phone so my mobile app has been lobotomized as well. Their support is only open during business hours which makes it extremely inconvenient to call in and get my account unlocked. - On two separate back-to-back occasions, I tried to use my debit card to withdraw money from an ATM, but it told me the PIN was incorrect so I had to go into the bank and show my ID to reset the PIN. I saved the PIN in my password manager so I am confident that I was entering it correctly both times. - I have not been able to set up Zelle, it keeps giving me a generic error message during setup. - I have not been able to setup passkey 2FA, it also keeps giving me a generic error. Tried multiple devices and password managers, no luck. Every member of their staff that I’ve worked with has been extremely kind and helpful, Busey’s customer service is amazing, but I cannot recommend this bank in good faith to anyone who doesn’t operate exclusively with pen and paper.
Could you please consider adding an aggregate card that shows all account balances in one spot in a future release? It could be added through the “organize dashboard” feature. That way users can see all of their account balances in one spot. In my opinion, having to click “view all” or swipe through the summary cards isn’t the best experience for users with multiple accounts. If there’s a way to show all the balances on the main dashboard without additional user actions, it wasn’t intuitive through the configuration options. Many thanks.
Please bring back the old app—so much better than this new version. The biggest thing that needs changing is bill pay—I agree with the customer who expressed concern over having multiple accounts for the same business but it goes way beyond that. I had E-bills set up for certain companies and now they are no longer delivering those. It used to provide a list of scheduled payments with a total of how much was being sent and no longer does so. It also used to give the last month (and maybe even a few months—I can’t remember for sure) payment amount. I found this very useful for our credit cards because I had it figured it to be an amount that would pay off the balance as quickly as we were comfortable doing, so it was more than the minimum but less than the full balance. It made paying the bill so much easier—I didn’t have to look up what I needed to pay, I could just look at the previous months payment and do the same or adjust it up/down if our budget warranted that. I can often only see half of my payees at a time because the app freezes up and you can’t scroll past the fold. Very unhappy with this new update. I never write bad reviews but this is my money we are talking about so I felt compelled to do so this time. I also didn’t like not having access to any app—new or old—for several days while the switch was made. Please bring back the old version or at the very least make this new one at least as good as the old if not better—that is what updates are supposed to do, right?
