I am going the speed limit through a neighborhood and it flags me for turns too tight. I just turned right into my physical therapist office and it said I went through the light past his turn in accelerating over 60 mph doing a U-turn and then turn left into his parking which you can’t do because there is no left turn
While I’ve enjoyed cheaper insurance rates since switching to this company I had to not only sacrifice better coverage but also small parts of my sanity and privacy. While I don’t allow any third party apps to constantly track my location this company can not seem to take “no” for an answer which doesn’t seem appropriate in 2024 in a world where most people understand consent and the implications surrounding it even outside of the bedroom. I’m at home the majority of the day, which they already have my address. I don’t find it necessary that my insurance company have the ability to track me via my phone 24/7 even when I’m not driving my own vehicle and the worst part about it is I have to get daily notifications asking for it when NO should mean NO and these excessive notifications block out ones that I actually want to see even from their own app. Say that I allow the tracking and I’m in an Uber or a friends car. Are they going to use THEIR driving to alter MY insurance price or record? It makes absolutely no sense why they need to track me via my phone in order to provide me insurance. None of the previous companies I’ve been with have needed to do this. Most companies afford their customers the choice to do this via an OBD2 tracking device that goes into the car OBD2 port. Is iSAVE also going to pay attention to where I go and for how long and raise my rates if I’m at a bar for too long or too often? What if I go to Walmart instead of Target? I appreciated the lower price but after this contract is up I’m probably gonna go back to my previous company. Unless you’re on an extremely tight budget I wouldn’t recommend this company.
So the issue I have is if I ease into a stop the app says hard breaking If im doing the speed limit it says I’m speeding If I have to turn in the middle of the street because there is no other way to turn it says unsafe driver My rates went up in less than 30days no notice they just attempted to take the money out several times. I’ll pass for now. I hope they actually fix the issues with app because it could potentially be a good insurance app.
