I am extremely unhappy and very disappointed in the app as well as the lack of honesty and support in their product. I purchased a subscription however found the the app did not measure up to my expectations The app doesn’t allow you to log a meal you have chosen on your own, it will only allow the pre planned meals. We had an ice storm in my area this past weekend and I didn’t not have specific ingredients on hand and couldn’t get to the store. Therefore, I was not able to log a meal with ingredients I had. Realizing that this issue made the app unusable for me, I requested a refund 4 days after I had first purchased it. I was told the the request had to be within 30 days “per policy“ but they would “make an exception” and refund 25%. Uh, hello! It’s been 4 days. What a scam. * I am editing to say that after arguing with them back and forth via email for literally hand quoting back to them their refund policy by citing the section and subsection of the terms and agreements, they did finally issue a full refund. I was told that they were making a “one time exception” for me. Okay, don’t worry, I won’t ask for anything more from you. I guilt was too much to expect them to follow their own policy. So shady.
I’m a very busy mom of four who reached a number on the scale that made me say, “Enough! Time to get serious.” So I went looking for meal plans that wouldn’t make me feel like giving up before I finished reading the recipes. I stumbled upon PerfectBody and took the quiz, knowing a subscriber would be at the end, and having no intention of giving them my money. But the quiz asked such good, specific questions, including what foods I hate (bananas, do you know how hard it is to find a meal plan that doesn’t shove bananas down your throat constantly?). I found myself intrigued enough, and impressed by the relatively low cost, that I signed up for 6 months. Now, I’m only in the first week of using it, but so far I have no regrets. My family tends to enjoy a ton of fruits and vegetables anyway, so they were actually excited to try my new meals. So far, the recipes have been so delicious. Very balanced, filling and tasty. My kids have taken to asking if something “comes from my app,” and being excited if it does. My husband is happy with it too, as he is always asking for healthy and delicious, and this actually ticks all the boxes. I love that it not only plans my meals and snacks, but creates my shopping list. I pick the days I want to shop for, and it creates the list. Perfect for my ever-changing schedule. The only thing I would like to see added so far is the ability to add in the meals I eat that are not from the app. I would like a way to keep myself honest about meals eaten in restaurants or at friend’s homes.
I was hesitant when I read some bad reviews. I agree I would like to be able to add my own calories to the app, but the idea of the app is to follow the meal plan provided and not deviate from it. They formulate the meals to balance the macro nutrients each day. So far the only negative thing I have to say is that the mug cake recipe is missing the measurements of ingredients. Now to the positive stuff, I am so excited to eat every day. I suggest, if you’re not a fan of “fancy ingredients” or complicated meals, to set up your account to choose “easy meals, under 30 mins”. There were some recipes that I couldn’t find ingredients for, but it is very easy to sub out the provided meal for an alternative within the app. I’ve been taking vitamins & fiber supplements outside of the meal plan, and meeting the water goals every day. I’ve been doing it for 5 days and have already lost 4 pounds with minimal exercise. I think the hardest part of healthy eating for me is not knowing how to prepare healthy meals using fresh ingredients, this app helps with that beautifully— and they’ve all been delicious, fairly simple meals. The bugs mentioned in previous reviews appear to be resolved. I had no issues with the shopping list, and I don’t see why people are claiming it’s scammy. If you’re wanting to change your lifestyle and eat healthy, commit to the app. So far I’ve really been enjoying it and I feel great every day!
