It’ll take some time

Overall it seems like it will work nicely. It is different and so there will be many people who don’t like it just because of that. I appreciate DCECUs effort in trying to make the app better. This app appears to allow you to personalize it more to how you want it. That could not be done with the old app. Regardless of what kind of changes were made, many people wouldn’t like it because it’s not what they are familiar with. Give it some time before give it a bad review just because you don’t know how to use it right away and it’s not as easy as the previous app that you’ve been using for the past decade. Does everyone understand that you can set the display up how you want. If you want to see your auto payments first, you can. If you want to see your accounts first, you can. It is up to you how many swipes or clicks you have to do. This improved app gives you more choices. Is that the problem? Update: it’s just sad that people don’t understand they can do so much more with this version than the previous app. You can customize this app anyway you want and so you can make it pretty close to how the old app was. They could use some work with the check deposit but I’m not going to take a star off because everyone else is taking stars off because they can’t figure out an easy app. There’s a few other things they do need to work on but overall, it’s a 4 star app.

I’m not too sure about this: update -1

I appreciate the effort to try something new. But in this case I feel as if they shouldn’t have changed the straightforward single page app they used to have. Too many clicks and taps to get anywhere, accounts don’t have names when doing transfers. Loans and other items don’t have the due date on them, you have to click on it and scroll to check, it also doesn’t have the payment amount up front. When you make a payment it fills the amount for you. Overall it’s overthought and too crowded. Too many options pages and taps. Frankly I don’t like It and wish we still had the older one. Update: I don’t know how long it’s been now that I’ve had the app, but my opinion has not improved. As a younger person who grew up with tech in my hand, I thought using the app and working with it would make it easier to use. I was wrong. I’m still frustrated and irritated with how difficult even the simplest tasks are. It has a very user unfriendly interface, there’s just too much! All I want to see are my account balances, transfers and due dates, I don’t want to see “similar transactions” and such. Just be simple. I hope they didn’t pay too much to have the app made. I’d be demanding my money back.

Not the best thing DCECU has done

The new app is cumbersome and not user friendly.Did anyone at DCECU actually get feedback from app customers with high use before you released this app?You can customize the app but lots of shortcomings. Scheduled payments can be seen only if you use expanded view and then use the “view all” to see all transactions. Standard view shows scheduled but no amount. You can see the cc transactions but you end up opening the linked CC website in the app. The actual CC history doesn’t load in the app. There is probably more security and functionality with this app but it was such a drastic shift. Ugh! Your poor call center team probably should get combat pay for handling all the complaints. I’ve spoken to many of them over the years and they are pleasant and helpful. The employees at DCECU are their best asset!UPDATE: I’ve been using the app for almost a month now and I still find it annoying in how it works. It’s not intuitive. I’m dropping my rating down to 2 stars and I still feel I’m being generous. Anybody in management listening? DCECU Chief Operations Officer Art Peters, DCECU Director of Compliance/Risk Management Lisa Gray, DCECU President/CEO Dennis Hanson, DCECU Senior Director of Human Resources Sheila Wright, DCECU Senior Lead Operations Specialist Denise Urbaniak, DCECU Vice President of Retail Operations Ken Roznowski, DCECU Accountant Alison Lutren, and DCECU Loss Prevention Manager Nick Eisentraut This app is a BIG miss. Please fix it.
