This might be one of my favorite puzzle games ever. As soon as you get the hang of a level, it switches up on you and you have to get the hang of it all over. Some puzzles are real head scratchers and there are no hints (and no walkthrough websites up, so far) so you have to keep trying til you crack it. My one point of improvement would be that once you solve a puzzle, I wish it would stay on screen instead of immediately going kaleidoscope, because sometimes you solve them by accident and it’s surprising when the puzzle starts animating because you solved it. I rather take a moment to look at the solved puzzle and appreciate how the pieces fit together to make it. Also- I just started quilting and this game gives me a lot of inspiration for future quilt patterns.

A puzzle completely unlike other tile placement puzzles. First by having mirrored symmetry. Second by having the colors blend in an absolutely beautiful and unique way. The game then takes these traits and combines them into a multifaceted puzzle that’s more than just placing tiles in the game area. There are plenty of free levels enjoy and if you wan more, the shop has just that, each puzzle pack getting it’s own color palette. The game goes even deeper into color perception and offers color modes for those color vision deficiencies; as well as a greyscale option. It’s a simple; but masterfully, beautifully, and creatively designed game worth installing it won’t disappoint. On a different subject this game is great inspiration for pharmaceutical logos.

Unique concept, elegant design, nice music and soundscape. I really like this game! Unfortunately the coding is not as elegant as the game, which means it heats my phone up rather quickly. Colorscope is just about as graphically simple as a game can be: just a handful of simple 2D shapes and colors, yet my phone starts to heat up after about 15 minutes of play. I’ve got games with sophisticated 3D environments and complex graphics that leave my phone perfectly cool, regardless of how long I play them. I was about to order some new Puzzle Packs for this game but the heat from my phone stopped me. I gave this game 5 stars because I like it so much, but Colorscope deserves to have its coding cleaned up. I wish Next Apps good luck!
