Strings

I’m a college student and over the past year, practically everyone at my school uses Strings for major parties and events thrown across campus. Besides the ticketing which makes event organizing a lot easier, I LOVE the fact that you can share/view content from these events almost immediately afterwards. Seriously one of my favorite apps to use these days!

Discovered this app at college… it’s really an awesome change to the run of the mill social media apps. Super easy to discover new and interesting content and I love how each string lets you create an interactive photo album with your friends. Much better than the brain dead social medias we are used to, definitely would recommend.

It can be exhausting to curate a persona on traditional social channels while maintaining any semblance of privacy - so much so that I’ve noticed most of my friends going “private” with their previously public feeds. I like how Strings approaches this modern reality and that it lets me decide, on a string-to-string basis, whether a topic is solo or group created, and whether it is public or private. It’s openness blended with control, which is better than blanket privacy, or radical transparency. One account, one handle, total control of the narrative. Thanks, Strings.
