Anchor Alarm / Watch

Used this app many times and it works perfectly.! I will definitely continue using this app.! Safety out on a boat is always extremely important and it’s a relief to be able to use apps like this one that you need to count on and you can .!!

Absolutely amazing app. It literally saved my life. I was on anchor watch in the Bahamas at great day cay and my anchor chain broke ( the weakest link is a real thing) about 20 feet from the anchor. 5 am in the morning in pitch black my alarm went off. Visual I couldn’t tell if I was drifting and all I could see was the chain still in the water. I had just enough time to start my engines and avoid rocks 20 ft away

I love the simplicity. However, the app does not get priority in the iOS to stay functional when other programs are running. Several of the past days it has been running as expected, then when returning to check on the anchor track after being on other programs, the track is gone and I need to place the marker and guess where the anchor is on the map and adjust over time as the boat moves. Not a good thing when you want to go to sleep.
