Navily

While chartering for two weeks around Sicily and the Aeolian Islands we used Navily to find the best marinas and anchorages. It begins with chart similar to Navioncs, where you can easily locate marinas and anchorages throughout the area, but then from there it gets really helpful. Crowdsourced like a google review, previous sailors to any location describe the services, location, staff, docks and prevailing conditions of any marina. For the various anchorages they describe the holding ground, swell, winds, landing beaches, restaurants where you can tie up your dinghy and more. This, for us, was an invaluable resource. Highly recommend!

My husband and I are new to the cruising life and use this app religiously. We bought a catamaran in Turkey last fall and have been sailing around Turkey and now Greece. We use this app every day we sail to a new location. We love the fact it shows protection against wind, what kind of sea bottom there are, photos, whether there is shopping, food, snakcs, etc available or not, real time warnings... it's been a game changer for us.

Cruising would not be the same without Navily. As a full-time live-aboard and cruiser, I rely on three apps on a daily basis, and Navily is one of them. The information in the community reviews is invaluable when trying to decided where to anchor (or dock). Being able to see photos of an anchorage gives you some insight into what you'll find once you arrive. The seabed descriptions are more informative than what's on most navigational charts. I'm also very impressed with the accuracy of the Navily Score, which shows the forecasted weather protection for an anchorage by three hour segments (available with Navily Premium). For the times when you wish to visit a marina, the ability to make a reservation within the app is a time saver over calling or emailing.
