While the platform accessed via desktop is great, the mobile app lacks in many respects. Iโve had a persistent issue with it being willing to leave me signed in to my account, wherein I have to go through the entire sign in process every time I want to use it , if itโs been longer than 20 minutes since I opened it. Moreover, standard things that should be simple enough, like resetting a user password for servers running Active Directory either seem to be spotty when they do want to open, or they act like they are loading details only to present nothing on the screen. In that same vein, unless itโs veiled somewhere deep in a menu, I donโt think thereโs a basic feature to allow you to unlock a user account from the app, which is hyper annoying
Let me start by saying Ninjaโs RMM has been a great addition to my MSPโs toolkit. Weโre currently using Ninja to support close to 1000 endpoints and so far itโs functionality from system/performance monitoring, to patch management and task automation has worked phenomenally. My company along with many others require the ability to use the tools weโve chosen to support our clients wether weโre in the office or in the field, and we rely on those tools to work when needed and as advertised. When using NinjaRMM via a desktops web browser it works flawlessly the majority of the time, but the mobile application has been a complete and utter disappointment. To compare this application to the desktop/web version; the overall lack of features / functionality that are missing make the mobile application essentially useless, if not a hindrance. Ninjaโs ease of use and feature sets were huge deciding factors when we chose it as the RMM for our MSP, so Itโs hard to believe that a company that has such a great product would release a mobile application that performs so poorly for its users. At this point in time for me to say this application is a disappointment would be an understatement. For the sake of Ninja and itโs users, I truly hope that the NinjaRMM team is actively working to make this application meet the expectations that have been set thus far for its users when using the web application. I know the NinjaRMM team is capable of providing a much better solution than this, and hope to see great improvements in the near future.
This app used to be much more functional before version 3 was released. Now, each time it is updated, something is broken. The latest update fixed a few minor issues but now the list of scripts is empty (only shows categories) and push notifications stopped working again. The QA team needs to do a better job before pushing out updates. A simple checklist of testing critical features would do the trick.
