First of all, Axos Bank has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, you’d expect better from a bank, but no. The bugs in their app has caused me to permanently lose my account. My money bounced back and my account was overdrawn, and I was unable to transfer $20 into my account because their app has so many errors and a representative told me to use the browser to move money instead! Well how convenient, you can’t even use the app to move money. Also, the customer support number that pops up is unavailable, and the chat on the app is super slow. Both options failed me when trying to resolve my issue. I had to google the number and that’s when a representative told me I have to move money on the browser and not the app. I was finally able to move money on the browser, but by that time it was too late. Axos closed my accounts for being overdrawn for too long and terminated our banking relationship. If the app would’ve been more helpful, which most apps are nowadays, I would not have experienced this problem. I now have a mortgage with a bank that has decided to terminate our banking relationship because I expected their app to work when it did not, causing a delay in me resolving my issue. This happened over a month ago and I call them everyday to get online banking access, I just found out my ticket wasn’t even created until 2 weeks ago. No one has been successful and resolving my issue and all I hear is “Axos decided to end their banking relationship with you” I have had to explain this story over 10 times. I wish I never chose to bank with them in the first place. Save yourself the trouble and don’t sign up for Axos Bank.
I have had AXOS for almost two years. In the beginning AXOS seemed fine. Recently every time I try to log in I get the message “server error” and my balance says 0. Which is very wrong. When I would call for help I would get a customer service agent within a few minutes who I could understand clearly and vice versa now the language barriers are ridiculous I don’t know where they have out sourced their CS to but it’s really horrific. They charged back 3 legitimate transfers I made and over-drafted my account. ( one of them was a refund check I deposited from another BANK a check written by a bank to me they did not honor ( they did at first then pulled the money) after they put in my account they pulled the money out 3 days later) I am having to back-peddle and put money in the account I am closing again. The reason I am closing is that they don’t work with EXPERIAN BOOST! None of the bills I have been paying for 2 years for my phone, gas, water, energy, etc are able to help my credit AT ALL!! I am so mad. I opened a new bank account an month ago with a legitimate bank that EXPERIAN recognizes and I am already boosting my credit with the bureaus. Be careful with the fintech banks they are not really banks!!! Also NO ZELLE! Which was a problem for rent payments I had to go through Venmo which took 10 days to move every month. BEWARE!!!!
I LOVE Axos as a bank, but the app really needs some work. My main complaint is the page where we can freeze and unfreeze the debit card. I’ve had my card information stolen in the past with other banks, so this is a major feature for me. When I’m not actively using my card, it’s important to me I be able to shut the card off. Because I do this so frequently, I need the app to be trustworthy when it comes to this, and it isn’t. For a long time, I could unfreeze and freeze it through the app, but it was extremely slow. I’m talking around 3 minutes of the page loading, every single time, for me to click the switch to turn the card on or off, and then another few minutes for it to update to locked or unlocked. Now I can’t do it at all. It tells me it’s loading for a few minutes, then the app freezes entirely and shuts down. I now have to log into my account on my browser to use this feature. I’m thankful it works so easily and quickly through the website, but for someone like me that is constantly turning my card on and off, it kind of renders the app useless.
