Like others have mentioned, since the rebrand to Woolworths the app no longer functions properly. When adding items to your cart, if you don’t complete your shop quickly enough/within the same day, it resets and removes everything from your order. The app also constantly (while in use) changes the method of shopping from delivery from the store in my city that delivers to my address to pickup from a random store in another city all together (which is incredibly frustrating, as if you don’t pick up on the change straight away, you will end up adding items to your cart that are not available from the store that delivers to your location). App also always signs you out of your account/ constantly asks you to log back in. Has been an ongoing issue for months too, so not sure why it is taking so long to fix these bugs. Also, it’s the same company that had the old app, so not sure why a rebranding that was essentially just a name change had such a negative impact on the app itself.
Ever since the app rebranded it no longer saves my shopping cart which I am finding incredibly frustrating. I used to enjoy adding items to my cart throughout the week as I notice things are getting low or I have run out of, then submitting to the store once a week. Since the update I can no longer do this and I have to write a paper list to remember what to order which completely defeats the purpose of having an app. Other annoyances are - the search function doesn’t always search after entering a search term and needs to be refreshed or resubmitted multiple times before it’s picked up - defaulting to “pick up” when I always get delivered and when I change to “delivery” half the items in my cart are suddenly out of stock, not listing all the items that are available in store on the app at all. if the shopping cart issue isn’t resolved soon I’m going to have to shop elsewhere, yes it’s that bad.
The app won’t load my one card and keeps telling me to link a card even though I’ve got a one card already linked to my account, my card shows when using the website but when I try use the app it doesn’t. It’s super frustrating because it won’t show my points and won’t let me use it on the app or scan it in-store, I’ve tried logging in and out, deleting and reinstalling but still the same. The ‘In-store receipts’ option is great but it never works and also the app can be slow which is a bummer. However I found the aisle and scanning information really useful, if these issues were fixed I’d definitely keep using it but for now I’m gonna have to go back to using the website rather than the app.
