I recently went to the Redondo Beach location to celebrate my birthday with four of my friends We are all seniors and needed to be relatively close to the restrooms Unfortunately that section was closed I explained my concern and they opened a table in that section The waitress Rachel told us she would happily take care of us but it may take a few minutes as her section in the main restaurant was full We were so happy to be where we were that we gladly waited until she could get us She was wonderful and made my birthday wonderful River who was also there was great in providing us with drinks and making sure everything went beautifully In today’s hectic world it was wonderful to be treated like royalty Our compliments to both Rachel and River Great experience

We have been coming the your Manhattan beach location for over 20 years. At a minimum of once a month some times twice a week. Sometimes once a week. We supported you numerous times through the pandemic ordering take out. Never have we left so disappointed with the service we received. We waited at least 15 mins at our table for our server to come. It took what felt like forever for our food to come. Once the food came the order was incorrect. My husband ordered a endless bowl of soup with a salad and they brought him a small bowl. Rather than leave the small bowl and bring him a large bowl later, she took the bowl back left his salad and never returned. He finished his salad and sat waiting another 15 20 mins for the server to return and we had to tell her he never got his soup. At one point my husband asked me if they were picking the lettuce to bring our salads. We sat at the bar neither the restaurant nor the bar area were busy while we were there. If not for another server that took over for our server, I think we would still be waiting. Our server never returned to ask if he wanted another bowl of soup nor did she come back to to refill our drinks or let us know that she was leaving for the night. Which is typical done when servers are leaving to take a break or ending a shift. Ours just never came back. We ended up with a second server she brought my extra salad dressings, because the first server never returned with it when I asked her for one. Unfortunately the original server never gave us her name. I didn’t think to ask the second server her name. She actually closed out our tab. How difficult is it two bring two salads one large soup and two drinks? Our receipt says Sabrina if she is a blonde than she was the second server and did a wonderful job of picking up the slack for her coworker. If she not blonde. Than we will make a point of not sitting in her area ever again. If and when we go return. This was disappointing visit.

We ordered the Double stack and it came with fries. For $1.99 we got endless iced tea.. Great burgers and better service. Our server was also the bartender and she was awesome.. Today we stopped at Islands in Vista ca for lunch. Once again, we got a flawless and delicious meal. We love bringing the family and they have something for everyone. Adult beverages… yum!! Great service and very attentive. The food was delicious. Had another great meal at the Mission Valley location today. We had a large group and “Makela” our server was wonderful and attentive. The food was hot and wonderful as usual. You can’t beat the ambiance and all things exit your mind when you walk into a tropical setting like this. Can’t wait to go back..
