I can NOT believe how awful this Mr. Steam app is. The Mr. Steam units that require this app have pricey interfaces that rarely work and when they finally do function, there’s a 3-5 minute lag before anything happens which is not because of poor wi-fi.. it’s just how the Mr. Steam system “works”. It’s as if Mr. Steam didn’t put their product through any kind of quality control or development and test phase. The Steamlinx app is not user friendly at all, has a lag time, and once you try to use the app to do anything… such as turn your steam unit(s) on or off, you have no idea if the app is working because the App doesn’t change.. nothing changes color, nothing appears to turn on or off, it’s nuts that Mr. Steam would sell such an wonky and poorly engineered system. Don’t waste your money! Don’t buy any Mr. Steam units that require the Steamlinx app. Mr. Steam wi-fi products and this app does NOT work and it’s a total waste of money!!! Go with a unit with a simple, manual “on” and “off” switch and save yourself hours of frustration and time.

First, the app has to be rebooted constantly. Then when it is connected, it does not work as stated. You’ll have to push the on button anywhere from 10 to thirty times before it might turn on. Sometimes never. If you turn on the steamer manually, then you can most times control temperature which really defeats the purpose. Very poorly designed. I had a Mr. Steam in the past and the control was an issue with the company purposefully discontinuing the 5 dollar controller so you’d have to buy a new machine. The machine probably would have run 30 years. Now a horribly designed controller again in the designer series where you have to press the buttons even manually several times to get it to work. Won’t buy another.

I cannot understand how I spent almost $6000 for a machine and this is all the app has to offer. It appears as if a 10-year-old wrote this app. I have the full dream package and I assumed that the app would be fully functional. Basically it turns the steam shower on and off. You cannot control the music or the lights, there is a delay, and the app looks like it was written a good few years ago! I cannot understand how Mr. Steam which is considered to be a reputable company could be a little themselves with an app like this! If I would’ve known before I bought the product or would have seen this app I never would’ve trusted the company nor would I have bought the machine. On another note, if the app is such a simple app then why is there no Apple Watch support?! I feel that this app ridicules Mr. Steam’s customers!
