EasyCanvas -Graphic tablet App

I’ve been wanting to be able to use my ipad as a display tablet for years and I’m so glad I finally found an app that allows me to do that without having to pay a subscription! I’ve only been using it for a few days but I like how easy it is to set up, being able to do it wired or wireless, and being able to choose between using it as a third display or a duplicate display! So far I haven’t had any issues with it, pen pressure works fine (as long as you remember to switch the settings in your art program; I forgot to switch it to TabletPC in Clip Studio Paint today & was wondering why the pressure wasn’t working lol) and I haven’t noticed any latency (I keep the ipad plugged into the pc unless I need to charge it or my pen). I wish we could add more shortcuts to the shortcut bar, and I don’t seem to be able to do the gestures to pan AND zoom simultaneously (it’s either one or the other at a time), but these are just very minor inconveniences that I can easily live with for an app that does what I need it to for a one time $12 USD purchase.

I was skeptical, but this app is the real deal. I am using it with a USB-C cable connected to a Windows 11 laptop and it works flawlessly. Just download the EL Display Hub from the EasyNLight website. Once you have that running on the PC and connect your iPad via USB-C, open the EasyCanvas app on your tablet and Windows will immediately recognize it as if it was any other additional display. You can set it to extend or duplicate. I am easily put off by even the smallest amount of latency with setups like this, but it is practically unnoticeable using the wired setup. I use it with Blender and Photoshop, and Photoshop even recognizes multi-touch for zooming in and out on the image! If you turn off the iPad display when not using it, Windows will disconnect the screen without fuss. But as soon as you wake up the iPad, it will reconnect and reopen the display in Windows within just a few seconds. Any app that works this well and has an option for a one-time purchase, rather than forcing a subscription-only model, has my support. 100% worth $12

After trying Duet Display for over a year, and countless headaches and bugs with it, i stumbled on this app. I honestly don’t know why it was not listed when i searched before, but it blew DD out the water. Responsiveness, clarity, pen pressure, everything is there. Almost zero lag, easy set up, has no issues detecting when the Ipad is plugged in. The only things keeping this from being a 5 star app, (seriously it’s more like 4.5 right now) are a few bells and whistles that would make it perfect. Major recommendation one, make a right click shortcut or toggle. Cannot seem to find this for the life of me. I personally don’t need any of the shortcuts on the bar for paint or brush, but i desperately need a right click. Major recommendation two, add a pressure curve setting. Some apps, like Photoshop, are so sensitive that you can see the minute pressure changes even in the smoothest of strokes. Something that a pressure curve adjustment is made exactly to fix. Minor recommendation as well is using a gesture to show or hide the menu bar. I have never ever used the menu bar, and the not so little round thing has only ever been an annoying block to something i need to tap on the screen. So it would be a nice extra if i can completely hide it using a specific gesture, like a three finger swipe down. Even without these, the app is solid and stable, and is more than worth what I paid for. I’ve never been so happy with an Ipad app in a loooong time.
