Boxcar Transit

As a regular commuter by train into NYC, this app has changed the game. I moved to an area where I could not get a permit for the train station. Those residents that live in town with permits, there is a 3 year waiting list to receive one. Some jobs don’t last 3 years! I use Boxcar Monday through Friday and if I work from home or take vacation, I don’t pay for a spot that I don’t use. Much more economical than paying the town or a parking company. I can always get a spot too without driving around the garage. It’s reserved just for me. There was one time in months when I reserved a spot and somehow all the spots were full so my spot wasn’t available. I called the help line and a person answered after two rings. An actual pleasant person who immediately resolved the issue. They gave a spot closer to the train which costs a little more but they covered the difference. I’m sold on this app! It makes life easier and I’m so proud to be an early adapter. Boxcar does for parking what Uber did for rides.

As a regular train rider I suffer through NJ Transit on a daily basis. What a difference Boxcar makes on my morning commute. The App is very straightforward and easy to use. I have never had an issue with with usability, the App just works as it should. The buses always arrive for pickup on schedule and are very comfortable. Plus, having WiFi is a very nice perk. The one thing that is always shocking to me on the Boxcar bus, is the peace and quiet. With all of the stops, announcements and people getting on and off, NJ Transit is far from relaxing. And for me, once in the city I get dropped off one block from my office. Boxcar is a great way to commute.
