Don’t waste your money. There are much better products available and many for a fraction of the price of this overhyped air purifier and the greedy company that tries to keep you dependent on their filters for the life of the product. I bought the large purifier in 2020 and the air mini + in 2023. The app has never worked in the entire time since then. Customer service is absolutely useless. Once or twice a year, they seem to make some fixes and the app will work for a day or two, then I open it up and the purifiers are disconnected or the filter % have reset to 0% despite having replaced them recently. The app is completely useless. The final straw was when I realized after years of wasting money on the overpriced filters that I was replacing way too often due to the non-functioning app not providing accurate data, that I could buy the exact same dupes for less money. I open the app and see a warning (they tried to make it sound like you’re doing something immoral and very bad by trying to use the air purifier you bought without agreeing to strings attached for life) that the app no longer supports air purifiers using unbranded filters aka unless you waste money on overpriced filters you can’t use your air purifiers. Since the app has never worked, losing access to the app isn’t actually the punishment Molekule thinks it is. Regardless, I’m selling or giving away both and have replaced them with superior purifiers that cost a fraction of the price. I chose these Molekule air purifiers because I thought they looked nice, but that’s pointless when my priority is being able to breathe and the company doesn’t want anyone to use the app or their purifiers apparently.

If you are in it for the PECO filter, and the UV nano particle stuff, it does make the air smell better and I suppose neutralizes viruses and scent particles. But for dust in an 12 x 20 room. Doesn’t seem to do the trick. I have wood floors and just a bed in the room so nothing creating a lot of dust. The rest of the house has all leather furniture so not creating a lot of dust. Have an amazing central AC and filter, so this is local to that room and need to still dust every week on surfaces. I am religious about changing the filters which are pretty expensive annually. If I had to do it over again I would get a heavy duty Hepa filter that really moves the air and is good for dust. At half the price. Have had the machine for more than 7 years now.

I have 5 Molekule machines in the house. 4 are connected to the app and 1 forever says the device is opened when it’s not. That means for 1 of my devices I can never see the filter % or know when to change it. These machines sometimes randomly disconnect from the app which then forces me to reset the whole thing. Which means removing and resetting it up all over again to reconnect to Wifi and the app. I’ve called customer service many times and they have a script where they walk you through the disconnect and reconnect process that I have it memorized. Except for the fact on my 1 machine it never works and they don’t provide a solution other than to buy a new machine. The machine works fine. It’s the app that can’t “see” it so I just can’t see the filter indicator. I refuse to buy a new machine when it works fine and it’s an app software problem that they cannot seem to fix. They keep telling me to ensure I have a 2.4ghz network which I do have so it’s frustrating it’s implied it’s my problem when clearly it’s a bad machine that I have, sadly just past warranty. Worst it’s a software problem not a hardware problem so you would think there would be a solution for this.
