Newk's Eatery

We had a terrible experience at this location yesterday. I eat at the Newnan location at least twice each week. Someone needs to train this new location. It was a terrible experience. First, no clear cups for water. The cashier offered no solution and told us we had to buy a bottle of water or pay for a regular plastic cup. Ridiculous. Someone should have gone next door and purchased clear cups. We could not find a clean table to enjoy our dinner. We had to eat around dirty tables. Next our salads arrived and the avocado was totally brown. I took a picture. Terrible. When I went and told the girl she said oh, ok. She never apologizes and did bring over fresh avocado. I asked about napkins and she told me to walk to back to get them. Next the condiment station is nothing like my location in NEWNAN GA. SALT AND PEPPER sticky and dirty. I used a reward and feel like I wasted it. I just wanted the home office to know and hope you can train and improve the Watkinsville location. Many thanks.

This Newk’s in Albany, Georgia is the most well managed restaurant that I have been in in a very long time. I have been coming here about once or twice a month (I live out of town). The entire staff is exceptionally friendly. The place is clean and organized. ALL of the employees appear to be very happy! It is a great place to dine alone or with friends….the ultimate salad never disappoints! It is so fresh….please give these positive comments to the manager and staff of the Albany, GA Newk’s (the Newks in Dothan, Alabama needs to take a lesson from this manager….it was not very good…maybe a bad day…)

I truly love this place and choose it often! No place is perfect and tonight I saw mistakes, but I saw a team who pulled together to make it all right! Usually, my order is fast and ready to go, so I don’t get to see the team in action. But, for some reason, tonight there was a tad bit of confusion causing my order to not be ready quickly. For that, I am grateful! I grabbed my pickles off the round table and sat. The manager walked over and handed me a bag to put them in kindly welcoming me. As I waited, the young lady behind the glass panel was steadily working with a great attitude. A server grabbed a platter with a full table’s order, and the soup sloshed spilling on the platter and on him. The young lady behind that glass panel smiled, said she would help, and told him to go clean up his hand. He returned with a clean hand and together they delivered the food to its recipients. Now, I know you are thinking, “Surely, this chick is about to be irritated that her order is still not ready.” Nope. I smiled at the two of them. Then, the young lady in the back making pizzas caught my eye. She smiled back. The manager noticed I was still sitting and asked me to verify my order. She went straight to the tickets and said, “Karen needs her salad and her order will be complete.” Everyone was feverishly working on filling orders from call-ins, mobile, and on-site orders. She recognized that, and she went to the back and made my salad herself. In the midst of the busyness, I saw positivity, smiles, teamwork, and people happy to be at work. Newk’s in Bossier has been my go to for awhile. And tonight, I appreciated the pause in my hectic schedule and the opportunity to witness a real team! Thank you, Newk’s!
