This app is simple and shows all the basics of flying drones. The graphics are not flashy and complex which actually keeps the app from lagging like a lot of the newer apps do. Flying a drone is not like flying a plane, which a lot of people can already do, but this app makes it easy to learn the controls and concepts. It also works offline, so if in a subway or on an airplane, you can still play/practice. 2 player mode over Bluetooth is fun and convenient. I would like to offer a few areas of future improvement: customizing controls more, such as rates of turning, a score board for best run times. The ability to reset the race in 2 player modes. Races with more than 2 players would also be a great upgrade. A method to mute the sound within the app would be nice. Additional drones could be fun. More maps would also be a great bonus. Thank you for putting together this great app. I hope to see more improvements in the future!
First off, I would like to say that this app is awesome! It lets you fly around two different free maps for newer users, and two paid maps for experienced users. Overall, the price tag for these arenโt bad, but I feel as though they could make a few more maps and a little bit of freedom in the game. One thing I really wish the developers would add is a setting to change between Acro and stabilized mode. Even though they have a more convenient stabilized mode, I think more experienced people would want to have a little bit more freedom in their flying. Another thing that would be really cool to have a free mode. Currently, there are tons of levels you can do, even in the free maps, but sometimes I just want to fly around and not have to complete a mission. Other than everything else that I would want to have in the game, it is a phenomenal game and I really thank them for putting the time and effort into a game like this.
At first I thought this was a 5 star app, now that Iโve used it a while, Iโve dropped it to three. Itโs good for learning the basic controls of a drone, but the physics within the app are really inconsistent from one challenge to the next, sometimes the drone is very responsive, sometimes itโs sluggish, almost like the drone is heavier in some environments than in others. Sometimes you can slam the throttle and still be on the ground, other times you think about the throttle and youโre pinned to the ceiling. This would make sense if you were flying a different drone each time, but each control should respond consistently from challenge to challenge, especially in an app intended to help you master control functions. I love that itโs really simple and straightforward, no account to sign into, no scores or โgameโ clutter to get in the way, just open the app and youโre immediately flying! Great for getting some stick time to practice when you only have a few minutes to spare, would be better if there was some variety within the challenges, only turning to the left isnโt a great way to learn. If the game was more consistent across the board Iโd give it all 5 stars. Itโs a good starting point for beginners like me to learn where the controls are, but once youโve had a little time with it (and a real drone) youโll start to notice the inconsistencies. It flies โlike a real droneโ in the same way a video game drives โlike a real carโ...it just doesnโt. Itโs like flying a drone on the moon, very floaty, and any time you bump a wall or ceiling it flings you around out of control. Developer gets butthurt and argues with criticism instead of listening to customers, so donโt expect it to get any better. If youโre serious about learning to fly, spend some $ and get a radio and Velocidrone for a desktop.
