Reviews: What People Think About CardioBot: Heart Rate Monitor
Margaret Yakoda
Rating: 5/5
I am physically disabled and can’t run at all, and walking is difficult. I do exercise regularly, using a recumbent stationary bike. I just downloaded the app to help me track some health issues, and the first thing that happened was a Pop-Up notification telling me I need to walk more. Nearly deleted the app right away.
Developer might want to reconsider having that feature be the first thing users see. Additionally an option for users who are disabled to choose some other form of exercise would be nice. A recumbent stationary bike, swimming, table-top-hand cycle, even chair exercises are some decent options that don’t require walking. The main point is get your heart rate up, yes? I think it’s best not be limited by focusing only on walking or running.
I’ll update this review after I’ve used the app a few days. I’m gonna give 5 stars at the beginning because I don’t want to ding the developer for trying to encourage people to do more cardio in a way that didn’t happen to fit my particular circumstance.

I started using the app after I was real sick with a rare kidney disease. Since then I’ve been trying to get physically and heart healthy. I realized I have a very high heart rate and because of family history I am concerned. The only thing that would be nice to add on the app would be more advice on how to lower my heart rate especially when I sleep it says to not eat and exercise 3 hrs before sleep and no physical activity and no screen time .. I’ve done that it would be nice to know more on what I could do for the sleep part.
Everything about the all is so informative and has helped me improve my health.
Thank you!!

This app appears to be useful. However, I keep getting elevated heart rate notices when my heart rate is well below the threshold I've set for the native heart rate app for my Apple Watch S3. I can't see anywhere in the CardioBot app where I can adjust settings for this. The developer's website for this app simply takes me to a one-page app preview that's not helpful. What am I missing?
Review update: I've had to dump this app on both my watch and iPhone because of the all-too-frequent elevated heart rate notifications. The native iOS health app and other heart monitoring apps convinced me that the CardioBot app results were unreliable in this regard.
I do appreciate the developer's response, and I may try the app again after the next significant update. It does look to have quite useful potential.
