I am a blind individual who uses VoiceOver to navigate the iPhone. When I first downloaded this app, and tried to play the game, the music was so loud that I could not hear VoiceOver. I contacted the developer about this issue, and he immediately added a feature to adjust the music volume so that VoiceOver could be heard. It’s not very often you find a developer willing to make changes to their app as far as accessibility goes. I really appreciate the time and effort he put into making this change. If you are a blind individual, and you use voiceover, give this game a try, I think you’ll find it very refreshing.
This is a great game to play, and it's easy to sink an hour into it. There are plenty of genres and eras to choose from, and the banner ads at the bottom don't interrupt me from playing. If I can provide one suggestion: perhaps there can be a prompt on the screen that'll say: What's the song title?" or "Who is the artist/band?" Sometimes, you have to select the correct song name, and then other times you need to pick the right artist. It may be jarring to players who might not know what to do. My only complaint is that the game will freeze anytime a Paul McCartney song is randomly selected. The app won't give any options to pick on the screen, and the song won't play either. Yet, if I tap on the screen where the selections normally load, the app will notify me if I picked the right or wrong option. I noticed this in the "Rock" and "Hits" genres, primarily in the 60s, 70s, and some of the 80s decade selections. It's annoying because I have to restart the app and lose progress, or lose the round and have to watch an ad to continue. All in all, it's fun, and it's much better than the other music trivia apps in the App Store.
This game is a breath of fresh air amongst the ad-filled and pricey world of trivia apps. It is completely free and doesn’t bombard the player with ads, in fact you can completely avoid ads if you want for minimal impact. The songs are all relevant and fun, and the pictures and design of the game are simple yet creative and add a lot of nostalgic elements. I love music games, especially trivia, so I’ve used a lot of different apps and websites. That being said, I’d recommend this one every time.
