I’m the terms and conditions, it says it’s run by QQ (social media in China). It also says any message or picture or video you send in the app can be collected and distributed worldwide by any means, including means that will exist in the future but don’t exist now. You waive some some provisions by agreeing to the terms as well. If you got it as a gift, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use the bracelet part! Just don’t use the chats, love letters, upload pics, etc. Using it for bracelet connectivity seems to be normal. I also wouldn’t use the “share” function (to other social media, emails, etc). The rest of the policy is regular stuff Facebook and and other apps collect all the time, advertising, etc etc. you can’t really avoid that at this point. The app has to be open in the background at all times, as well as connected to the internet. That’s because you’re sending the signal to the app, then the app sends a signal to the other phone through the open app. You have to have “background app refresh” on in settings. Any photos on your phone are still private unless you upload them to the app. Like I said, just avoid the app for doing anything but sending bracelet signals. I’ll update this review if the actual function of the product stops working correctly.

I purchased these online from the website without reading the reviews on the App Store, and to be honest, I was very nervous that we would not be able to get the bracelets to work properly after seeing these reviews. However, I am pleased to say that we do not have any issues with these once we figured out how they work. The concept is really sweet and we absolutely love having them. We are often too busy throughout the day to text, and it’s nice to be able to send a reminder to your partner that you’re thinking of them. You can send thinking of you with a short press, and I love you with a long press. You can send an SOS signal, etc. from the app as well. The color of the lights and the lengths of the vibrations are customizable as well. So nice! I will admit, it was slightly tricky to get the bracelets connected with each other and the app. But we persevered through frustration and watched the video and read troubleshooting instructions included on the app. I’m happy to say that the bracelets work wonderfully! I even went on an overnight trip and the bracelets still worked when we were in different cities ♥️ highly recommend. If you’re having issues, try charging your bracelet. They don’t work great when the battery gets too low and the battery level doesn’t seem to be too accurate. Also try closing and reopening the app. We love ours!

For the past month and a half, my partner and I have been having consistent problems within the messaging system; specifically the vibration patterns. This issue began after we decided to edit the meanings of our messages. Specifically, along with changing the message names, we made the long-tap message communicate short vibrations, and made the short-tap message communicate long vibrations. As a result, the vibration patterns are now unexpectedly broken, and we have not been able to fix them. From what I've seen, one message (intended to be a long vibration) sends one long vibration *into* two short vibrations, making it practically indistinguishable from the other messages that are short vibrations. This one bug has made the entire bracelet feel practically unusable. I will say that recently it was fixed for a short period of time, and I was ecstatic that maybe it was fixed! Unfortunately the issue inevitably arose again... even when neither person made any changes to the settings. I'm rating this low because it's been such a frustrating problem to deal with, for a long time nonetheless. I'm otherwise very satisfied with the product, and will be very happy when this gets fixed. My bracelet just feels useless currently, when the only way I can even understand a message is through notifications (which can easily be recreated through texting). I'd appreciate if you fixed this as soon as possible. Thanks.
