06Feb2026 Update. OK they are a bit slow in responding but they did fix the problem and now the app is awesome again. I wish they had a teleport feature but honestly I think the app is pretty solid and I really enjoy it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I was REALLY enjoying this app which I would say is way better than Tinder but just below Hinge. However I’m on business travel and out of no where I go to open the app and it says I’ve been banned for violating their terms and conditions. I’m always very respectful on dating apps, don’t ghost people, etc and I cannot see anywhere in their T&C that I’ve violated even remotely. Email their support and get zero response even though my subscription renewed just a week ago. So disappointed. May change my review if I ever hear from them but I seriously doubt I will. :(

The app is a fantastic novelty that lets you dive into a particular and I believe somewhat narrow subsection of Iranians. If you are not in the ejtemah it would be difficult to meet these people. I believe some of the earlier complaints about distance have been resolved. What still needs improvement is the user interface and it needs a LOT of improvement! The UI and UX make me want to use the app less, which is disappointing because I think it’s worthwhile. For instance, for some reason they decided to use white text on light blue background which is about as illegible and low contrast as you can possibly get. Light blue is not even an Iranian color. Get rid of it. Give us some contrast or something beautiful to look at. This is not 1996. As well, the location of like or unlike buttons change as well as what happens if you swipe down. On some pages if you swipe down the person goes back into the mix and on other pages if you swipe down the person gets rejected. Worse yet, you can try to direct message someone or super like someone and the behavior of the app completely changes based on what page are on which could mean that you would never get a chance to direct message them. They disappear. This makes it all a bit frustrating and a bit of a dahati digital experience. So even though I want to use it, after a couple of minutes I throw my arms up in the air and say “Heyf”. It’s completely inconsistent and it’s as if it was never tested. Also, if you ever suggest in the intake that Iranians shouldn’t wear sunglasses on their profile photos, naturally that’s exactly what they’re going to do. 😀

Having pretty much avoided dokhtar Iroonis all my life in an effort to not play into the hand of social & family presumptions, I can now confidently say I WAS WRONG TO DO THAT. Sheytoon has shown me that dokhtar irooni is my only perfect fit- someone with the same foundational values and appreciation for depth that I haven’t been able to pinpoint with Sifeeds, Indian/Pakistani, or Arabs. The app is a little rough around the edges but I’m 100% content with that because IT IS FUNCTIONAL, which is more then you can say about Tinder/Bumble. Sure it’s buggy- but the developer is very accessible and attentive (responded to and RESOLVED my issue within a few hours). There’s no over-engineered algorithm that complicated what should be a simple process of browsing and liking. Very happy to have signed up though I was doubtful at first: looking forward to a fuller heart by being able to share and flex my irooni side more with people who understand the essentials... like tarof etiquette, Haji Firouz’s face, and Moein. Damet garm, Sheytoon Khan!!!
