C’est un outil indispensable pour les francophones, natifs et non-natifs, cependant il y a quelques améliorations à y apporter : a) L’application se plante assez souvent et il faut la relancer pour la faire fonctionner. b) La prononciation en transcription phonétique manque pour les noms propres ; ce qui est un grand défaut particulièrement pour les apprenants et les professeurs de fle. c) Il y a des définitions incomplètes incroyables comme par exemple : vaquer, verbe intransitif. d) Enfin, il n’y a presque pas de mises à jour une fois on l’achète et l’installe. Je prie les éditions le Robert de faire le nécessaire afin de satisfaire les utilisateurs de cette magnifique application sur ces points qui risquent de les décevoir.

It is nearly identical to the "Robert for iPad" app that this developer was selling 3 years ago and dropped just to be able to charge $8.99 for a "new" app. Nearly identical, but in fact slightly inferior: The "Robert for iPad" contained some graphics. For example, the entry for a country would provide the country's flag and a couple of maps. This "new, improved" app got rid of this kind of material. I really regret purchasing it since, by the time I actually move on to iOS 11, the developer will probably have come up with a new app replacing this one, a new app with even less content, needless to say.

I would really like to thank the designers and developers who made this app. Every feature shows that a lot of thought has been put into it, that I wish other apps can learn from. As an intermediate French learner, I especially like the ability to look up new words I see in the definition by just clicking on them, as well as the ability to go back and forth between history entries. The idiomatic usage section is also very comprehensive and greatly appreciated. Oh, and the fuzzy matching that allows me to look up a word that I may have misspelled is tremendously helpful!!!! This has made my learning process much easier and more enjoyable. It is definitely worth every penny of its price. Thanks again!!!!!
