Grow Demon Slimes : Idle RPG

Not bad overall

This is a typical multi-gacha game where you chase the red dot across dozens of screens including gacha style summons for pets, skills, equipment, etc, screens tracking all manner of milestones that you complete just by playing, and of course stores of all kinds, using lots of different currencies, both real and not. The effect I suppose is supposed to either be fun, or if I wanted to be more cynical, to desensitize the player to the clicking things that might end up generating revenue. This is the end result of mobile gaming’s obsession with micro transactions - the transactions end up higher on the game designer’s priority list than fun. I’m not into it. I’m giving 3 stars because this game isn’t any better or worse about the above than every other identical game I’ve played. There’s a lot of generic in game currency throw at you, at first anyway. I like the simple, slime-game-style artwork. I don’t like that there’s so much clicking that there’s essentially zero thought for strategy. I don’t like that you quickly end up with a screen whose edges are completely covered with ’offers’. So yeah. Eh.
