I have played this game for about a year - I have really liked the gameplay and the game overall. Unfortunately, the company has consistently taken steps to cater to new players through various means such as nerfing beloved mechanics in response to complaints from new players. The company also has implemented some form of adaptive difficulty which artificially buffs goalkeeper performance for one side and nerfs the GK for the other side. This has been attested to and documented by many long term players on the official discord server. These frustrations were bad enough, however, the most egregious thing from this company was their recent horrendous handling of a major tournament where the 1st prize was $15,000. Assurances were made on the discord server that the winner would be ultimately based on who put the most time in - but the company ended up extending the event and creating challenges that involved rewarding players with points for spending in game currency (gems) or opening chests (which takes gems). This resulted in the top players who put a lot of time and money into the event losing their standing to newer accounts that came in and spent thousands of dollars to steal the top prizes. Despite being a terrible and scummy business practice, this seems to clearly violate the terms of service for the prize event which stated that no purchase was necessary and that purchases would not confer any direct advantage to winning the event. It seems to me that creating challenges where players could earn an unlimited amount of points toward the tournament through buying in-game currency violates these terms. For me this was the last straw and I cannot play or recommend this game anymore on principle.
I actually have so much fun when I play this game. It balances games so it is not one sided. Also, my goalie is pretty good, and doesn't give up easy shots often. Many games it does that. I also like how there are many opportunities to get free items with ads so you don't have to pay for things all the time. The power ups are overpowered, and give an incredibly big advantage on the field. The only thing I don't like is the red gems to upgrade goalies. They are so hard to find in boxes, and you need a lot to upgrade a goalie. Also, I hate how sometimes an easy shot can go in, and I have a hard time intercepting lob passes when the other team easily can. However, I'm addicted now! In only two weeks, I'm already at 100 games played now. I would highly recommend buying!
In a world where 30 second ads are essentially currency, running an ad which is well over two minutes & treating this like one ad is, bluntly, theft. Which wouldnโt be so bad, but the growth mechanics in this game are a disaster. You acquire the ability to level up characters at about ten times the rate you acquire the currency to actually level them up. A level 2 to 3 upgrade runs you about 3500 coins depending on character class but even gold chests (which take 9 hours to open) only give you a couple hundred coins. Even if you leverage all the ads you can to get things free, you canโt come close to keeping up. WORSE than all this: you need thousands of diamonds to get a chest worth getting. Days of playing yields at most 300. Then, when youโre out of power shots, it prompts you to buy more with diamonds or continue without: you choose continue without - and it charges you diamonds & gives you the shots anyway. Which means you can _never_ amass a meaningful number because every time you run out of power shots it will steal diamonds whether you want to spend them or not.
Cry babies like those poor reviewers, indicate that they want to win every game and wish they could put together a game like this one. Sure there are some issues but thatโs what updates are for. Large goalies and small goals? Please, did you program the game? And what game are you playing that is brand new and you are NOT playing bots at some point. You might want to take the rattle out of your hands and cry your way to another easy no brainer type of game. With that said, this game is on its way to being very very good. Passing and tackling takes some time to get the hang of. As with all soccer or football games, you need to see the field. Goals are few and far between but what soccer game scores more the 3 or 4 goals at max. This is a game, play it like that, a game. Update will come to improve like all games but to bad mouth this game on first try shows very poor gamesmanship. ITโS A GAME!!! To the programers-keep it up. More updates maybe some skill games to get rewards. Maybe even create leagues to compete against each other again for rewards. Keep up the great work!,
