GlucoSense: Diabetes Health

I used Levels for a few years but they no longer work with my G7. This app is as close to that as I could get. For the most part I am pleased. I’m pretty competitive and it motivates me to manage my blood sugar when there is a “score” to beat—even if it’s only my score from the day before. Things I think would be helpful: 1. the ability to compete with other users—for those who are competitive, this could really help 2. The ability to scan the barcode of a food and input serving size for nutritional information. 3. The ability to enter serving size and have the information adjust automatically. 4. A large food database. 5. The ability to ignore glucose for a period of time when my G7 is inaccurate so it doesn’t affect my overall score. Many times my monitor is inaccurate and it skews my score and messes up my insights. This can be unnecessarily discouraging. With that being said, I still highly recommend this app. The format is very easy to understand and completely user friendly.

I have been diabetic for 30 years. It’s the type of thing you live with that no matter how much work you put in the day before, today you still have to think, decide, and bear the mental load. As someone in the analytics space myself, I appreciate what the team is doing by leveraging machine learning and AI to connect the dots on all the variables that’s hard to see patterns w our brains. I can’t wait for all the team is able to do!

This app has been a game changer for managing my diabetes and sugar levels. I had no idea my levels were fluctuating so much throughout the day until I started using this app and seeing my daily GlucoScore. Having that new perspective and the insights provided through the app helped me to make my sugar levels more stable throughout the day which has made me feel a lot better physically and mentally. I’ve especially liked the widget you can add to your screen to quickly show your score which makes it easy to check it throughout the day and try to improve it as the day continues.
