Wonderful

The game was beautiful, satisfying, and has that kind of “ pop “ that I like. I wasn’t really understanding the storyline, other than me being in the future, and when I needed something I would struggle to find it. I ended up paying for the lift tool (because it would then give free, ad-less hints.) because I constantly needed hints, and 99% of the time it would not have content to show me. Thus, no hint. The story was confusing, I for some reason didn’t realize the whole point of the game was to fix the car. I thought it was a side project, and when I got the ending, I was slightly disappointed. I kinda was hoping for more. However, the funky future music in the end kinda offset my disappointment. When I saw the lab in the basement, I thought THAT was the main story. Maybe a lost loved one was lost, and the portal would reconnect you to them. When I started it up, and all the alarms were going off I was excited! Until an item just popped out of the portal and the portal broke. If you make a second game, I suggest it start with you landing back in time in the car, and you have to go through puzzles to get home. Like back to the future! Or perhaps you end up finding somebody else's portal, and in it you find a trapped loved one, but then the portal closes with you inside! And the whole game you must find a way to re-open the portal to get home. Otherwise, this game has been a wonderful experience, and special thanks to anyone who’s read this far. 👍 (P.S if you look at the reviews and click most critical, it’s just a bunch of children complaining because their parents won’t pay 2 dollars. I just thought that was interesting.)

Great puzzle game, but the ads are too much.

To start off, I think this is an excellent puzzle game. The environment felt interconnected, and had a lot of variety in its puzzle elements, asking for a lot of back and forth with remembering light patterns and keypad numbers. It’s not common for mobile puzzle games. I’ve read a lot of reviews about how they were cheated out of the full experience, expecting the the entire game to be free to play. With the $2 pay wall offered at the beginning, it felt odd to me that this would be what most games are. I feel that if the game itself was $1.99 people would be less upset about the in-app purchase, even thought most users would be turned off by the price tag. Despite that financial hiccup, the game is very polished and was a joy to play from beginning to end. My favorite part was the rather clever reference to “Please don’t touch anything” near the end of the game. The puzzles themselves were well thought out and not too terribly difficult to figure out if you look hard enough. I do feel it was a little short, but maybe it’s because I enjoy puzzle games a lot. If your team were to design another puzzle game similar to this, I expect it to be just as good as this one!

Beautiful Graphics, Gameplay Okay.

I love finding new puzzle games and apps that aren’t brought to the hot front page of app stores. There’s something really liberating about this game. It’s beautiful animations, colors, and quirky art style lend a hand to help immerse the player in its setting. I find that the 3 plane view is quite refreshing, although quite small (even though i am playing on an XS). It was pesky to tap around even though my fingers were quite small. The gameplay was quite confusing on my end. I felt as if the non linear path is a mostly unseen part of puzzle games. This game executed that part perfectly. I found that many puzzles were so hard to understand, and saw myself looking at the hints multiple times to try to wrap my head around such complicated and tricky puzzles. I would not have known that the board in the workroom was such a key element if it were not for the hints. The multiple clues scattered through the bar to unlock the safe were very small too. I used hints for that too. I pride myself in not using hints on games but i felt as if i had no choice but to in this instance. I would more accurately give this game a 3.6/5 rating. Much to appreciate, and much to improve on with future games, still very fun to play though.
